The Pandemic of Greed

Dedication to Romanian Health Care Workers

The Pandemic of Greed

In 2012 GlaxoSmithKline, was fined $3 billion dollars. The drug manufacturer

admitted that it hid unhelpful scientific evidence and manipulated articles in medical journals to encourage doctors to prescribe the antidepressant Seroxat also known as Paxil to children. The Company failed to reveal the existence of two scientific studies that showed the drug was ineffective in treating childhood depression.

Why is the case of GlaxoSmithKline relevant today? Well for at least 18 months the world has been gripped by fear of a respiratory infection called Covid. During this time, we have witnessed governments using emergency measures to introduce and distribute mRNA and Viral Vector Covid vaccines

"Vaccine development is a long, complex process, often lasting 10-15 years and involving a combination of public and private involvement. The current system for developing, testing, and regulating vaccines developed during the 20th century as the groups involved standardized their procedures and regulations." In a BMJ article Els Torreele states, "that vaccine developers and health authorities are now favouring speed over robust evidence of effectiveness and public health impact, constructing a narrative that anything is better than nothing, and lowering the bar on what constitutes a safe, effective, and useful vaccine."

Similarly Shibo Jiang also expressed concerns regarding the efficacy and effectiveness of rushed vaccines arguing that the failure of any rushed vaccine could result in the mistrust of the public in future times of crisis.

Who Benefits from rushed vaccines and PPE procurement? Dr. Miklós Ómolnár director of the Mediaworks reported in a YouTube video on the 20th March 2021 stated that the European Commission had procured Covid vaccines on behalf of the member states.

The Commission had previously denied this saying it was individual member states who had negotiated contracts with the vaccine manufacturers. In the video Omolnar presents contracts from four vaccine manufacturers, Pfizer, Moderna, Sanofi and Janssen. The video also revealed that Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides had signed the contracts on behalf of the committee. One may ask the significance of this and why the Commission denied the contracts existed. On the 26th of April Omolnar published a further video on his YouTube channel accusing Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides of taking a €4 million euro bribe. Clearly Omolnar is connecting the contracts signed by Kyriakides with the pharmaceutical contracts she signed on behalf of the EU Commission. Kyriakides has denied the accusation claiming that the money was a bank loan. Should a connection be established between the €4 million euro and the pharmaceuticals, the question arises as to whether the vaccines were given emergency authorisation for distribution as a result of this payment? We have already seen in the case of GlaxoSmithKline that pharmaceutical companies are prepared to manipulate research to generate profit. Is it possible that in the rush to deliver the Covid Vaccines, and the drug manufacturers desire for future profits that the efficacy and safety of the vaccines have been compromised? While the case of a €4 million payment to Stella Kyriakides has not been proven it does highlight concerns that safety can be comprised by dodgy deals, corrupt business people and politicians. An article in the BMJ reports on some of the dodgy deals that have been conducted in the UK. In March 2020 an email sent to the Department of Health and Social from Turkish businessman Mr Duzen offered to manufacture hospital gowns for UK hospitals. The government department ordered 400,000 gowns. The order, which is thought to have cost £300,000, was delayed but eventually 67,000 gowns did arrive but when they were checked they were found not to be fit for purpose. The Turkish company had only been established on 31st January 2020 to manufacture sportswear and had no experience of producing medical garments. But this was not the only case of incompetence, profiteering and possible fraud. In August 2020 the UK public learnt that its government paid €190m on 50 million face masks. When they were received they were deemed not to be fit for medical use. The order of a $252 million (€280 million) contract for the supply of face masks was made to American company Ayanda Capital, a family-owned fund specialising in currency trading, offshore property, private equity and trade financing. The deal was arranged by Andrew Mills, an adviser for the Department of International Trade who also advises Ayanda Capital. Mills has denied any conflict of interest. In April 2021 it was reported that Miami based jewellery designer Michael Saiger was awarded six Personal protective equipment (PPE) contracts worth at least £271 million. None of the contracts were subject to competition, owing to an EU rule that allows for rapid procurement in the event of an emergency. Saiger had no previous experience in supplying PPE medical supplies but identified an opportunity to enter the marketplace when it became obvious that supplies from China would be limited due to the Covid crisis. Saiger did nothing illegal in applying for the contracts but the awards to his company but it is remarkable that a company with no previous experience of supplying protective medical equipment was awarded contracts worth millions of euro. Without doubt the apparent pandemic is becoming a very profitable crisis for a select few companies and business people, some who have links to governments who impose mask mandates and lockdowns. What could go wrong? When Covid was declared a pandemic by the WHO (World Health Organisation) many would never have dreamt that countries across the world would be enforcing travel restrictions and mask wearing or aggressively promoting mass vaccinations. Johns Hopkins University has estimated that nearly 0.3% of the world population has died from Covid. The university receives funding from Bill Gates who has invested vast sums of money into the development of vaccines while making substantial donations to the WHO. The university believes the death toll could be far higher but they base their figures on confusing data. In the UK anyone who died of a lung cancer but had tested positive for Covid in the 28 days prior to their death was included in the fatality count. There have also been questions raised about the efficacy of the PCR tests, the test used to identify if someone has the infection. Previous articles in this blog have discussed those issues. Vegetable Soup

Has Covid been isolated? Unfortunately it has not been isolated this makes it problematic when trying to assess whether symptoms someone displays are in actual fact related to Covid. But they have tests for the virus I hear you say. Well there are a number of problems with the tests but I will let Dr Sam Bailey explain the problems in the video below.

Perhaps you still believe that the virus has been identified and isolated. Well you should share this link with the doctors and scientists who try to convince you of Covid's existence. Isolate The Truth is a group are offering a 225,000 Euro Reward to anyone who can prove that the virus has been isolated. Let us apply what Dr Sam Bailey says in her video to the following research paper, "Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 from Patient with Coronavirus Disease, United States." The researchers in the paper claim to have isolated the virus but they also state that they used used "Vero CCL-81 cells for isolation and initial passage". Vero cells are those taken from other sources such as the kidneys of monkeys. "The researchers are creating a soup in the lab. This soup contains a number of compounds. The researchers assume, without evidence, that “the virus” is in this soup. At no time do they separate the purported virus from the surrounding material in the soup. Isolation of the virus is not occurring." (Jon Rappoport) What on Earth

So what is happening and why? No doubt a virus exists that can prove fatal to vulnerable and older people. Has the virus been truly isolated, well this appears to be unlikely, but the appearance that it has been isolated allows vaccine manufacturers to promote their dodgy vaccines. Why you may ask do I call them dodgy well in a recent BBC Panorama programme Professor Sarah Gilbert the lead behind the Oxford coronavirus vaccine stated: "We do not know how it works but we can't wait so get on with it."

Surely if a vaccine has been approved and trialed we should know how it works? So the emergency measures that were introduced to combat an unidentified respiratory virus has enabled drug manufacturers to distribute vaccines that may improve immunity but in all likelihood merely reduce the symptoms of Covid while not knowing the long term adverse reactions that may occur in the future. Meanwhile the fear factor ramps up demand for these vaccines. As each month of this crisis passes we are told of so called variants that include United Kingdom, South African, Brazilian and now the Indian. But if fear of Covid and its supposed variants do not convince you of the need to have a vaccine perhaps some free giveaways might?

For instance Bran Castle 25 kilometres southwest of Brașov is a national monument and landmark in Transylvania, Romania. Visitors to the castle are being offered free entry to the old torture chamber in return for being vaccinated. "Beatrice Mahler, director of the Marius Nasta Hospital in Bucharest, says that nearly 3.6 million of the 19 million Romanians have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine. She wants to reach the 5 million mark by early June. But why? For whom? Under what pressure? At least we know the reason for Stella Kirikiades’ enthusiasm, the Cypriot Minister of Health of the European Union who signed the contracts for the covid vaccines with the pharmaceutical companies and whose private bank account has since been credited with 4 million euros. Now there’s a nice carrot." (Nicole Delépine) Bran castle is not the only business enticing people with free gifts. Krispy Kreme in America is offering free donuts while Budweiser is giving away bottles of free beer and in city of Benicia California residents are being offered free pizza's. The Catalyst It is strange that in the worlds apparent worst epidemic since the Spanish Flu of the early 20th century, in a period that has far superior modes of communication that people need to be offered incentives to receive a vaccine that is meant to save them from a deadly infection. Perhaps the reason for this is we are not witnessing large numbers of deaths, bodies are not filling our streets. So what came first a virus known as avarice seeking new ways to increase profits or a coronavirus that greedy pharmaceuticals recognised an opportunity to maximise profits aided and abetted by bumbling or corrupt politicians and their civil servants? What is clear is that when governments are not made to account for their actions the environment they operate in becomes a breeding ground for corruption whether intentional or not. This article began with a dedication which states, There is nothing more repulsive than people who take from the poor to enrich their own lives. Everyone has a right to a life with dignity and have access to health care. Weakness and vulnerability should not be exploited. Whether or not you agree with the article it is hoped that at the very least it will encourage you to question the motives behind government policies and the agendas of large business corporations.
